Officials in Mexico have confirmed 27 deaths from the historic hurricane that pummeled its Pacific Coast on Wednesday. Four people are also missing. 

Hurricane Otis made landfall near the resort town of Acapulco as a Category 5 storm - the strongest ever to hit this part of the country. 

It’s left residents and visitors reeling amid widespread damage, and a lack of essential services, as CGTN’s Alasdair Baverstock reports.
