China continues to shine at the 16th World Wushu Championships, currently underway in Ft. Worth, Texas.

The national team has won 7 gold medals so far, more than any other team. Competition will wrap up later on Monday.

It’s the first time the event has been held in the U.S. in nearly 30 years.

CGTN’s Toni Waterman caught up with one of the men who helped to organize the 1995 Championships in Baltimore, to discuss all that has changed since.
