After a nearly four-year hiatus, Air China, the country’s flag carrier, has resumed its direct service from Washington DC to Beijing. Last offered in February 2020, the flight took off from the U.S. capital on Tuesday afternoon.

It’ll run twice a week both ways — direct from China, with a stopover in Los Angeles on the return leg. Benji Hyer reports from Dulles International airport near Washington.
