It was quite the year for sports fans with some astonishing, record-breaking achievements, big money business developments and a host of inspiring breakthroughs.

The 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup was a major commercial success. Almost two million fans attended the games in Australia and New Zealand, breaking the previous attendance record by more than 600,000.
