Ten students from California State University Long Beach will visit their Chinese sister city, Qingdao, next week. They are the first of thousands of young Americans who will take part in exchange programs in China over the next five years.

During his visit to California for the APEC conference, Chinese President Xi Jinping extended the invitation to Americans, emphasizing the importance of building stronger people-to-people relations between the two countries.
