A record-breaking number of firearms were found at U.S. airports in 2023, reinvigorating a decades-old debate about gun safety.

The Transportation Security Administration found more than 6,700 guns at airport security checkpoints, most of them were loaded.

This comes as shootings continue to make daily headlines in America, with officials calling for more stringent safety measures.
