Students and teachers at a high school in the U.S. state of Washington have something to celebrate. Chinese President Xi Jinping and his wife Peng Liyuan sent a celebratory message.

During his presidential visit in 2015, Xi stopped at Lincoln High School in Tacoma, a sister city with China's Fuzhou. 

The connection has led to student exchange programs. CGTN’s Ediz Tiyansan reports from Tacoma, Washington.
