U.S. students with an interest in China organized an event over the weekend to celebrate the Lunar New Year’s Lantern Festival in Los Angeles.
Organizer Angela Efros said the event was not only a new year celebration, but also an opportunity to exchange learning experiences and foster hope for the positive China-U.S. relations.
Attendees were treated to a diverse array of cultural presentations with guests including consuls of the Chinese Consulate General in Los Angeles, Congresswoman Judy Chu, and TV Host Yue-Sai Kan.
