Out on the southernmost frontiers of the U.S. state of Louisiana, residents have been bearing the brunt of extreme weather events for decades.

But now, a water crisis is detrimentally impacting their crops.

Drought, and dangerously low water levels in the Mississippi River are putting peoples' livelihoods at risk.

CGTN's Benji Hyer visited Star Nursery in Plaquemines Parish, Louisiana, around 150 kilometers southeast of New Orleans.
