Dominican Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit landed in Beijing Saturday morning, marking the start of his visit to China, which runs from March 23 to 29.
According to the Chinese Foreign Minister, Chinese President Xi Jinping will meet with Prime Minister Skerrit during his visit. Chinese Premier Li Qiang will hold a welcoming ceremony for him, and the two leaders will have talks and jointly attend the signing ceremony of cooperation documents.
Zhao Leji, Chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee, will also meet with Skerrit.
This year marks the 20th anniversary of diplomatic ties between the two countries. In an earlier press conference, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian said that in the past two decades, China-Dominica relations have grown steadily, setting a good example of mutual respect, equality, mutual benefit, common development, and win-win cooperation between countries of different sizes.
