Japan is the latest country to announce it will resume funding to the United Nations aid agency for Palestinian refugees, after a pause from several key donors.
The UNRWA chiefs say the agency is now financially viable until the end of May, after previously warning it could be forced to halt operations in March. This comes as the UN warns more than a million people in Gaza are experiencing "extreme levels" of food insecurity. Several nations paused their aid after Israel accused 12 UN staff of taking part in the Hamas attack in October.
