Mexico’s first female president, Claudia Sheinbaum will be sworn into office on October 1st, before the U.S. presidential election in November. Immigration remains a top issue in the U.S., and it will likely be one of the first major political challenges and opportunities Sheinbaum will face as she prepares to govern Mexico.
