Migrant crossings into the United States from its southern border have shifted from Texas toward California in recent months. 

The latest numbers from the U.S. Customs and Border Protection reveal that for the first time in decades, the San Diego sector became the busiest crossing point for undocumented migrants. 

It comes at a time when President Biden has implemented a daily limit to the number of asylum seekers entering the country.
