A series of wildfires raging across the western United States and Canada has covered the region with a blanket of smoke. Meanwhile, fires across the Mediterranean have caused evacuations in parts of Italy and Spain, impacting holiday plans for many. Extreme heat in a number of countries has been deadly. It all comes as the average global temperatures this week are setting records. Monday was declared the hottest day ever recorded. Ediz Tiyansan reports.
