The U.S. is preparing for another weather event as Tropical Storm Debby is slowly strengthening in the Gulf of Mexico with a trajectory toward the west coast of Florida. 

Weather forecasters say the storm could become a hurricane before making landfall on Monday. Authorities are urging residents to prepare for significant rainfall, flooding, and strong winds.
