It’s been a year since the deadly fires destroyed the historic Hawaiian town of Lahaina on the U.S. island of Maui. The exact cause of the fire remains under investigation. 

Many families are still dependent on basic needs like food and housing. Ediz Tiyansan has spoken to local researchers carrying out health surveys. The preliminary results show a staggering lack of health care among the victims.
