It’s now official. The summer of 2024 marked the hottest on record, with average global temperatures in June, July and August reaching their highest in recorded history. The data from the EU’s Copernicus Climate Change Service also shows 2024 on track to become the hottest year ever, surpassing the previous record, set just last year.
