Three major wildfires have burned more than forty-thousand hectares in Southern California in less than a week. Governor Gavin Newsom’s office announced this week that nearly six-thousand firefighters, soldiers and first responders, along with 50 helicopters, and 140 water tankers have been deployed. But efforts have been complicated by the region’s latest heatwave and the terrain.
