The U.S. central bank cutting its main interest rate this week was the most concrete sign yet that it thinks the battle against inflation is over at least for now. The Federal Reserve raised that rate aggressively to drive down spiralling prices driven by pent up demand after the pandemic.
But that doesn’t mean all prices have dropped and for some, it’s left a lasting impact, as CGTN’s Owen Fairclough reports.
