New filing in prosecution of Trump for actions in 2020 election argues he acted as a private citizen

A new filing by the team prosecuting Donald Trump in the 2020 federal election interference case alleges Trump broke the law in an effort to remain in office. The filing comes after the U.S. Supreme court ruled presidents have broad immunity from prosecution for official acts, but in this filing, prosecutors argue Trump acted as a private citizen. Trump denies wrongdoing. CGTN’s Jim Spellman reports.
