In the U.S., fire crews are battling wildfires on both the East and West coasts. 

High winds and dry leaves are helping fuel the flames with little rain in the forecast for states like New York and Connecticut. 

Officials are warning residents to avoid outdoor burning as long as dry conditions persist.

In California, fires there continue to pose a risk in some areas.
