The Schiller Institute hosted an online conference on Dec. 7-8, celebrating its 40th anniversary. The event, focused on global development, peace, and equality, featured over 20 guests. Discussions included the “Belt and Road” initiative and China’s role in global development. 2024 marks the tenth year that Schiller Institute has tracked the “Belt and Road” initiative and China’s development. China’s exploration of its own development and its leadership in the Global South were repeatedly mentioned at the meeting.
