Firefighters across the Los Angeles area started getting the upper hand against massive wildfires on Thursday, Jan. 16, as the much-feared gusty Santa Ana winds eased up and temperatures began to drop. But officials warned it could still be awhile before residents return to areas damaged by the fires and where many died. Ediz Tiyansan reports.
