Ecuador is facing a severe youth unemployment crisis, with eight out of ten young Ecuadorians struggling to find formal work, according to a joint study by non-profit group Children International and Empleo Joven Ecuador.
This issue reflects a broader trend across Latin America, as highlighted by the latest International Labour Organization report, which warns of growing informality, gender gaps and job insecurity for young workers in the region.
