The Trump administration has ended deportation protections for over half a million Haitians in the United States. U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem revoked an 18-month extension, meaning Temporary Protected Status will expire this year in August.
This decision comes amid ongoing gang violence and political instability in Haiti.
