The number of fatal airplane crashes in Brazil reached a record high last year and 2025 figures show the trend is continuing. The vast majority of cases happened with small private planes rather than large carrier-operated flights.
Experts say the increase in the number of private aircraft, combined with looser regulation for private planes, are making the Brazilian skies unsafe. Paulo Cabral reports.
