It’s been five years since a pen pal program was launched between Chinese and American college students. The “Sister Cities of Long Beach,” a non-government organization for citizen diplomacy, started the cultural exchange program when the COVID pandemic first hit international travel. The partnership has led to dozens of friendships across the Pacific. Ediz Tiyansan reports.
