A Columbia University student who was detained by immigration officials last month, could learn his fate this week. A judge has given the Trump administration until Wednesday night, April 9, to provide evidence as to why Mahmoud Khalil should be deported. He has not been charged with any crime, but U.S. government officials accuse him of being a terrorist sympathizer, after he took part in pro-Palestine protests on the school’s campus last year.
