The U.S. may be reconsidering a plan to impose additional fees on Chinese shipping vessels docking at U.S. seaports. Following a backlash from five unions representing dozens of U.S. trade groups across multiple sectors, officials are reportedly softening their proposed measures to mitigate what could be skyrocketing costs for businesses and consumers.
