Newark Liberty International Airport, outside New York City, is a busy travel hub even on a good day, but recently travelers have encountered even more delays.
One key problem is that there are not enough air traffic controllers. As qualified personnel retire from the highly stressful job, not enough new recruits are being hired and trained, according to industry analysts and the FAA.
