Thursday, May 15 is ‘Bike to Work Day’ in the U.S. The annual event aims to encourage commuters to ride their bikes to ease congestion and help to mitigate climate change by cutting back on polluting transport. But with the U.S. pulling out of the global climate change treaty for a second time, and now tariffs driving up the cost of bikes, it’s a challenging moment to make that switch.
