Donald Trump’s on-again, off-again tariffs are partly aimed at restoring a U.S. golden age of manufacturing when some of the world’s most famous consumer brands were produced domestically.
The U.S. president is using tariffs on imports to make producing everything from cars, clothes to computers more attractive.
But with around half-million unfulfilled manufacturing job openings before Trump launched this trade war, do people really want to work in this sector?
