Web Summit in Vancouver

Web Summit took place in Vancouver, Canada, this week. One of the featured speakers was Yaofei Feng. He is the Chinese-born co-founder of the food delivery company Fantuan. Founded in 2014, the Vancouver-based company has since grown into the largest Asian food delivery platform in North America.

CGTN’s Dan Williams sat down with the entrepreneur, who told him about how he was working as an Amazon software engineer in Seattle when he saw a gap in the food delivery market.

The summit aims to bring the smartest tech experts from around the world under one roof. Shivam Kishore is a Digital Transformation Senior Advisor for the United Nations Environmental Program. Despite recent setbacks to the sustainability movement, he is confident progress is still being made…and tech can continue to make a big difference. He sat down with CGTN’s Dan Williams.
