Experts gathered to discuss how development is taking place in the Global South.

With the theme: A Beautiful Vision for Humanity in Times of Great Turbulence, sponsored by the Schiller Institute, speakers weighed issues such as the settlement of the question of Palestine and a two-state solution as well as other issues in humanitarian relief and development around the world.

"The Global South has been deprived of that human right of economic development, now that is changing," said Richard A. Black, a New York Representative for the Schiller Institute.

The international conference was held from May 24-25 in New York City.
