Rio de Janeiro has been named this year’s UNESCO World Book Capital. It is the first Portuguese-speaking city ever to receive the honor.
To celebrate, the city is hosting a special edition of its National Book Fair, which takes place every year, alternating between Rio and São Paulo. This year’s biennial event blends literature, culture, and entertainment in an innovative format.
