The use of artificial intelligence in advancing safe and sustainable smart cities is an important item on this year’s BRICS summit agenda.

One standout example from this year’s host-country, Brazil, is Rio de Janeiro’s Operations Center, a high-tech, AI-aided monitoring hub that will be used in security operations during the fast-approaching Leaders’ Summit in July.
