Amid geopolitical tensions and economic uncertainty, Chinese President Xi Jinping is hosting world leaders at the SCO summit aimed at boosting multilateralism.

Founded in 2001, the Shanghai Cooperation Organization has grown into the world's largest regional organization. A Eurasian political, economic and security alliance with the participation of 26 countries, and a combined economic output of nearly $30 trillion.
