Brazil’s former President Jair Bolsonaro is weighing next steps following his conviction this week on charges of attempting a coup. His supporters call it political persecution, while his critics say it’s justice for spearheading the January 8, 2023 attacks on Brazil’s Congress, Supreme Court, and presidential palace in Brasília.
