U.S. President Donald Trump will meet with top congressional leaders at the White House on Monday, Sept. 29 for negotiations ahead of a midnight deadline on Sept. 30 to prevent a government shutdown.

It comes as the President pushes ahead with a military deployment to Portland, Oregon, despite city leaders telling him the troops are not needed.
