Hispanic Heritage Month in the United States is marked every year from Sept. 15 to Oct. 15, celebrating the contributions of nearly 70 million Hispanics across the country.
But this year, the month falls under the shadow of increased immigration enforcement— with many communities postponing, scaling back or outright canceling events.
