SCOTUS delays ruling on Trump's firing of Fed bank governor

The U.S. Supreme Court has announced it will settle a question with implications for the global economy. Justices will hear arguments for and against President Donald Trump’s ability to fire a central bank governor early next year.

The case cuts to the heart of the central bank’s ability to guide the economy independently of the White House - and the trust of both investors and consumers around the world in the stability of the dollar.
