Los Angeles County, in the U.S. state of California, may soon declare a state of emergency to protect residents from intensified ICE raids. The move is aimed at shielding immigrant communities from evictions and financial instability, at a time when many cities and counties across California are involved in a legal battle with the Trump administration over its immigration policies.
