About one million international students have injected nearly $55 billion in the U.S. economy in 2024, according to a report by the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace, which suggests that they also support 400,000 jobs that make up one in ten positions in higher education. But many American universities that rely on international students for revenue are facing a historic decline in overseas enrollment. It comes as the Trump administration restricts federal funds for universities and raises the costs for foreign work visas. CGTN correspondent Ediz Tiyansan reports from Los Angeles.
