It’s been two weeks since the U.S. Trade Representative implemented new port fees for Chinese-made container vessels docking at U.S. ports — a move that’s stirring concern across the global shipping industry. Experts say the fees are already driving up freight costs and could add to inflationary pressures just as the U.S. economy shows signs of cooling. Ediz Tiyansan reports from Los Angeles.
