Green shipping corridor opens between Shanghai and Californian ports

November 26 marks the "World Sustainable Transport Day" to highlight the important role of safe, affordable, accessible and sustainable transport systems for all in supporting sustainable economic growth, improving the social welfare of people and enhancing international cooperation and trade among countries.

Despite the lack of an international consensus on the diplomatic front, several partnerships on the subnational level continue to provide hope in the fight against climate change. 

One such effort is the Shanghai–California Green Shipping Corridor.
