On Sunday, Nov. 30, U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed that he has spoken to the Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro by telephone, he said he would not say if the conversation, believed to have taken place over a week ago, "went well, or badly." It was, he said "a phone call." It comes amid a massive U.S. military buildup in the region - supposedly against drug trafficking operations. CGTN correspondent Stephen Gibbs in Caracas on how Venezuelans are reacting to the rising tensions.
