The Christmas season is one of the biggest drivers of Brazil’s annual retail sales. Despite soaring summertime temperatures, low-cost winter-themed decorations and gifts are on full display in Rio de Janeiro with most items shipping thousands of kilometers before entering the bags of eager shoppers.
