Canada has launched a $1.2 billion program to attract top researchers, doctors, and scientists.
The investment will span 12 years and aims to recruit over 1,000 individuals in critical fields. The initiative comes as the U.S. imposes a $100,000 fee on new H-1B visa applicants abroad.
That fee is meant to encourage hiring Americans. However, not all Americans are on board with the many changes that are being made in their country and are already coming north of the border.
