“No War” demonstrations were held in cities across the United States opposing the Trump administration’s strike on Venezuela’s capital, Caracas. Outside the White House, protesters voiced strong opposition to the U.S. military action and expressed solidarity with Venezuela and other Latin American countries.
Some protesters said they believe the Trump administration launched military action against Venezuela at this time to divert public attention from serious domestic issues such as economic problems and healthcare. They argued the real goal was to seize Venezuela’s oil resources.
