The U.S. immigration crackdown has stemmed the flow of migrants at the Texas border with Mexico, but the other border crisis may prove a lot tougher to solve. Mexico owed U.S. water, hundreds of billions of gallons of it. A 1944 water treaty governs how these neighboring nations must share water along their 2,000 kilometer border formed by the Rio Grande River. In December, Mexico repaid its water debt to the U.S. But as CGTN's correspondent Franc Contreras reports, the treaty could put these North American neighbors on a future collision course.
